Wayne County GOP members rescind votes to verify election, claim Dems 'CREATED' them

Two Republicans from the Michigan Van County Board of Canvas Resources claimed in affidavits signed Wednesday that they had been threatened to side with Democrats and have now dropped their votes to confirm.

Two Republicans - Monica Palmer and William C. Hartman - were involved in a brief stalemate in the county's electoral certification process before the vote to initially confirm.

Wayne County, including Detroit, is the most populous county in Michigan, with a population of over 1.7 million.

Both Republicans say they have been called racist and have been intimidated into raising concerns about the ballot, which Democrats say is primarily from the black community, a Trump 2020 campaign lawyer said. Gina Ellis told Fox News on Tuesday.

Hartmann said in the affidavit that he observed that about 71 percent of Detroit's 134 absentee voter count boards were "unbalanced and many remain unknown."

He said he had expressed his concerns and said there should have been some explanation if the votes had not been cast. Powell said he saw the same difference.

Neither Palmer nor Hartman could be reached for comment by Fox News late Wednesday.

The couple said state officials had indicated they would not respect the earlier agreement to audit the ballot, which played a key role in their decision to evacuate. It was not clear if the decision to evacuate would change his first vote for ratification.

Republicans - including President Trump - praised him for standing up to the Democrats' brutal personal attacks, calling them racist during a live zoom meeting.

Tech Town chief executive Ned Stabler, who, according to the New York Times, is a poll challenger at the TCF Center in Detroit, said at the viral zoom meeting, "Trump is a stain, a stain of racism that you, William. Hartman and Monica Palmer, who have covered themselves, have been following you throughout history.

He said the two were "forever known as two racists in southeastern Michigan who did something unprecedented that freed millions of black voters in Detroit."

Joe Biden defeated Trump 2-1 in the Democratic stronghold of Wayne County, and Michigan won by 146,000 votes, according to unofficial results.
